Anamika
My name is Anamika. I was born
in Varasnasi a pilgrimage town in the state of Uttar Pradesh,
India. Right from the age of 6 years, i have been watching
my mother and sister making heena designs during festivals.
I found it intresting and was inclined towards the creative
art. I learned the art and by the time i was 13 years, i had
become a professional and started to create heena designs
for parties and wedding ceremonies.
In 1989 i started my own workshop known as "Gupta
Tourist Shop" and have gained much popularity as a successfull
Heena teacher and artist. A lot of Tourist not only from India
but from accrooss the globe have visited my workshop and have
either learned the art or have got Heena designs done by me
on their hands and legs.
My and my worshops name was published in the
Japans Guidebook in the year 2000-01.
